Hey, L.A. Swifties, Taylor Swift expands Eras tour, including two more shows at SoFi Stadium in San Francisco
Taylor Swift will soon add two new dates to her worldwide Eras tour. The 26-date tour kicks off in San Francisco in November and will wrap up in Los Angeles next May.
The San Francisco date will be added to a previously announced November 14 show and will be played at the newly opened SoFi Stadium. SoFi Stadium is a 30,000-seat multi-purpose stadium that opened in 2013. (It is the first new stadium in downtown San Francisco in over four decades.)
The Santa Clara date will be added to a December 8 show at Levi’s Stadium (the Los Angeles date will be added to the previously announced December 20 show). The Santa Clara show will be played at Levi’s Stadium, which is a 12,000-seat multi-purpose stadium that opened in 2004. The stadium features several areas, including a massive video scoreboard and LED video screen, in addition to its traditional box seats, suites, club seats and standing room grandstands.
Both events will be part of a two-part schedule that includes two additional shows in Santa Clara and San Francisco: one at the SAP Center for the first-of-its-kind SAP Center NHL game on December 15, and another at SoFi Stadium for the NFL Kickoff Night game on December 21.
For those of you who are new to Swift’s world, Eras began in 2010 and is comprised of 12 shows in 12 markets: Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and the United States (Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and New York City markets in 2010). The tour features 23 total concerts, with each concert beginning at 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT. The last two concerts feature special guests who perform their own music.
The tour also features a world stop in Barcelona on February 4, 2015. The show will be accompanied by a massive video display and a spectacular light show.
Swift first toured Eras in 2009 with a show in Barcelona and another in Berlin. The tour started in London in February 2010, and each of the remaining shows in 2010 was in a new city each month.
Since then, Swift has continued to add new shows
