Imagine Dragons postpones shows while lead singer recovers from vocal, knee injuries
Kanye West’s controversial wife Kim Kardashian is reportedly recovering from an ongoing vocal cord infection that leaves her unable to sing or talk.
According to reports, Kim’s doctors have been unable to find the cause of the infection, which has left two holes in her vocal cords, so in an attempt to cure it, Kim is reportedly postponing three of her planned world tour dates.
She’s currently scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in Arizona on Feb. 4, an expected three-week-long outing that will have her make a special appearance at Super Bowl 50.
While she’s continuing to recover at home, Kardashian’s management company tells TMZ she’s unable to do any public appearances until this week and has therefore postponed her upcoming concerts in San Diego and Los Angeles.
The first postponement is the one scheduled to take place on Feb. 7 in San Diego. The second date is slated for Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.
TMZ reports that Kanye’s team is hopeful she will be able to sing at all three of these shows.
“Kanye is taking his time and his recovery,” a rep for the Yeezy fashion brand tells the website. “He has been doing more in the studio with the new album and working with his team to make it the best of his career. He is making all the arrangements to bring you tickets to the shows.”
Kanye has also postponed a gig in Atlanta the week after this week’s Super Bowl Halftime Show so that he could perform at the 2017 Grammys.
A rep for the Grammys tells Rolling Stone that they’ve seen an updated set list and are “excited for Kanye’s performance.”
West’s wife has been on a bit of a hiatus since she and Kanye split last year.
But the Grammy-winning artist has reportedly made no secret of his love for her.
The couple was engaged at the time they were married, and they’ve said their relationship has been a difficult one, with Kim allegedly being a controlling wife.
