HBO’s comic Watchmen, the most controversial comic ever to hit the comic medium, is one of several projects to be delayed by the network.

Watchmen follows the adventures of four DC Comics characters – four teenagers, one of the ‘Watchmen’ title heroes, and one of the ‘Nite Owl’ characters – who are forced to live together in a rundown apartment building after a bomb destroys their home.

The series has been a lightning rod for controversy since its release in 1988, when the publisher left off the ‘Nite Owl’ character from the original story.

Watchmen has been adapted by Alan Moore, Robert Kirkman and Dave Gibbons for more than 20 years into a three-hour movie film starring Hugh Jackman and Mila Kunis, which opened in Los Angeles on March 21.

The comic is one of several projects to be delayed by the network.

The series, first announced by HBO only two years ago, is also being adapted into a series of graphic novels by series creator Moore, with a plan to publish them over the course of the next five years.

A project is underway to launch the series on HBO in November in the U.S. and the UK.

‘Watchmen’ is based on the DC Comics’ 1985 series of the same name.
